In the tutorial I show the “origami way” to do that, without a ruler or any kind of tool. ![]() To make the origami Infinity Cube you’ll need to fold a 5×5 grid on every sheet of paper that you’ll use. You can make this origami ninja star by no tape no glue no scissors. ![]() If youre really brave, you can also try to cut perfect squares out of construction/printer paper instead of using origami paper. Not available yet! Watch the video tutorial. Step 1: Materials: For this project you will need: - Origami paper, mine is 5 7/8 squares, but you can definitely use smaller or larger. You can also use crumpled paper as an alternative to the cotton balls. Now put one of your fingers in the middle, then open one side and take the top crease and bring it to the middle and flatten it.Do the same to the other side. Now if you look in the middle there should be 2 lairs, take 1 corner of the first lair and fold it to the top,now do the same to the other corners. Insert the two remaining flaps on the bottom of the origami cube by repeating Steps 2 and 3. Insert the two remaining flaps on the top of the origami cube by repeating Steps 2 and 3. I’ve folded one using 18cm x 18cm origami paper and it was ok without the extra weight. Then, add the final modular unit by repeating Steps 2 and 3 with the remaining triangle flaps of units 1 and 4. But depending on the type/size of paper, they’re not needed. Optional: I’ve added cotton balls for extra weight inside each cube to prevent from opening gaps between them when you’re not holding the model. Bring the top edge of the paper to meet the lower horizontal crease. Bunch the folds together to form the heart. Press down on the folds, so they stay in place. Then, bring the top point down to meet the center of the paper and the bottom point up to the center. Turn your paper, so it looks like a diamond. In the video I’m using 15cm x 15cm standard origami paper for each cube. Rotate the paper and fold the top and bottom points to the center. ![]() Make sure the edges of the paper match up so that you create a neat vertical crease down its center. Either fold the right side of the paper to the left, or the left side of the paper to the right. If you make twelve flowers, they can be assembled into a beautiful kusudama ball. This is a modular origami and you’ll need 8 square sheets of paper with the same size (one per cube), everything is connected without glue nor tape. Fold an 8.5 by 11 inch (22 by 28 cm) piece paper in half lengthwise and then unfold it. A pretty kusudama flower can be made by folding five or six square pieces of paper. Learn how to make an origami Infinity Cube, a very fun action model!ĭifficulty level: low intermediate (the units are simple, but beginners might have some trouble to connect them neatly) Paper
